King Lear

“O, let me not be mad, not mad, sweet heaven

Keep me in temper: I would not be mad!”

The division of a Kingdom. The unravelling of the mind. A descent into madness. King Lear is rich in its exploration of the relationships between fathers and their children. A psychological drama that charts the catastrophic disintegration of a man and the destruction of his family. And like all great plays it is about the need to be loved.

dlr Mill Theatre bring a gripping, insightful and contemporary dress production to the stage. A talented ensemble cast of 10 actors, breathe new life into the text for both students and lovers of Shakespeare alike.

Directed by Geoff O’Keeffe and Designed by Ronan Duffy
