Founded in 1982, Kilmacud Musical Society has been proudly entertaining audiences for four decades. Since it was established, it has gone from strength to strength; giving members the opportunity to perform in the dlr Mill Theatre twice a year.
Kilmacud Musical Society’s bi-annual productions are a highlight of the local community theatre calendar. The society’s repertoire includes a wide range of classic and contemporary musicals and variety shows, ensuring there is an opportunity for all members to enjoy their stage time and something for everyone in the audience to enjoy.
The society is run by a voluntary committee which is voted in by members at the annual AGM. Kilmacud Musical Society prides itself on its inclusivity, welcoming members of all ages and backgrounds. The society strives to offer a supportive and nurturing environment to its members, encouraging them to develop their talents by providing a creative outlet. Members are given the opportunity to participate in any aspect of theatre production that interests them. The society welcomes not just members who wish to perform, but also those interested in off-stage aspects such as show production, script writing, costume and set design, hair & make-up for the stage and stage management.
