‘The Craic Dealers – a night with Ireland’s best comedians’

Keego Presents – The Craic Dealers!  A night with Ireland’s best comedians in our Maureen O’Hara studio.

Hosted by Keego who has been dealing craic on stages all over the world. Recently spending 2 weeks in New York touring some of the most famous venues and basements the city has to offer. Keego will be your guide on the night and will be getting to know you throughout.

Tonight’s comedians have performed all over the country to standing ovations, welcome to their opening night!

Our headliner – EDWIN SAMMON– his unpredictable and immensely likeable style saw audiences award him the Tedfest Golden Toilet Duck in 2011 for best comedian. On TV screens he took over the news desk co-presenting and writing on Republic Of Telly and as Fr. Gabriel in the IFTA award-winning Bridget and Eamon which is available on the RTE Player. The Offaly native has supported Jason Byrne, Fred Cooke and Ardal O’Hanlon on their nationwide tours and performed at every major festival and club in the country.

ALEX J BYRNE  is an incredibly unique and engaging comic with his hilarious blend of magic tricks and clean cut comedy, having cut his teeth on the comedy circuit as well as many comedy festivals such as: the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Dublin International Comedy Film Festival and Glasgow Comedy Festival among many others. He has toured, performed and headlined around the world with his fun filled onstage persona that inevitably spills off stage! If Tommy Cooper and Brendan Grace had a baby, then this bearded magic Jackeen would be it!

JESS COLLINS is a performer you will not forget in a hurry. Born and raised in Dublin, Jess is hilarious, authentic and unafraid of creating tension where there is none. Over the course of the past five years, Jess has gone from paying to see her favourite Irish comedians perform to sharing some of the biggest stages in the country with them.  Jess is a wildly popular comedian in the Irish scene and her CV includes appearances at Electric Picnic, Galway Comedy Festivals, the historical & well- known International Bar, Whelans of Dublin and the finals of Ireland’s national comedy competition, Show Me The Funny. She is also a regular guest and MC at Tigh Heehee in the famous Róisín Dubh, Galway. The skill with which Jess engages her audience through storytelling is remarkable. While she is on stage, every single person in the room feels like they’re at her kitchen table with a cup of tea in hand, in the middle of the most entertaining catch-up you can imagine. However, for all the comfort her style brings, her material will have you sore from laughing in no time. Jess’ observations on things such as dating, Disney and growing old gracefully has won the hearts and minds of audiences all over Ireland. Her journey to the stage took some time but make no mistake; Jess is a comedian who’s career promises to be a long and hugely successful one.

EMILY BRADLEY is a stand-up comedian from Dublin. They started their career as a backing singer for Susan Boyle and let’s face it it’s all been down hill since then. Emily also holds the (unverified) Guinness world record for the smallest stand up in Dublin. Emily is producing a show in scene and heard called Stand up- Smack down on the main stage 20th and 21st of February. Emily is the host of Baby at Hysteria and Comedy Court. They also have performed at Nottingham and Leister comedy festival purely to get an unhealthy amount of Greg’s pastries with no judgement.

STEPHEN ROBERT WALTERS is one of the longest names in Irish comedy. A voice actor by day, a comedian by night, Stephen will do anything in his power to avoid an honest day’s work. Having performed throughout Ireland, the UK and even the US, Stephen has established himself as one of the oldest newcomers on the scene.

CAROLINE GORMAN is a comedy hurricane!  Caroline discusses her high energy antics and no holds barred stories. With her tongue firmly lodged in her cheek and sometimes with more details than we expected. Caroline Gorman will have you laughing so hard your sides and pants will be split.
