Sage & Time
Rooted in themes of time and environment, artists Beata Piekarska Daly and Catherine King, explore of a myriad of different mediums. Drawing inspiration from plants, sea and the air offer viewers a glimpse into unique ways of seeing the natural world. The pieces offer on display invite a close look to witness the magic held within these elements.
Following her research, Beata Piekarska Daly presents work that finds symbiotic ways of making and recreating ideas from the past’ and juxtaposing them with ideas that may bring new perspectives towards the future.
Catherine King presents a range of works conveying the local environment and the plants of place, reflecting on our past, cultivating our grandmother’s lost knowledge of plants and their integration into modern life.
In this show, viewers will get a unique look into the process of what grows in “the artists garden” as an extension of Self, with each artist exploring nostalgia of places through art.
“SAGE & Time” is an exhibition of paintings, sketches and mix-media works that explores the transformative power of the natural world.
