Schools Shakespeare Festival 2019 – ” A GREAT EXPERIENCE!”

“Our aim is to create a unique opportunity for students to experience Shakespeare as his work should be experienced, on stage.” – Festival Director Kate Canning

Our inaugural Schools Shakespeare Festival took place on 24th and 25th January.  Students and teachers from participating schools Mount Sackville, Mount Anville and Loreto Dalkey  put so much hard work into their performances. The Overall Award went to Mount Sackville with their interpretation of Romeo & Juliet.

Adjudicator Geoff O’Keeffe was thrilled with the level of theatricality brought to the stage. We look forward to 2020’s festival! Submissions will open for schools nationwide in April 2019.
