dlr Mill Theatre appoints Kate Canning as its new Theatre Manager

dlr Mill Theatre Dundrum, has appointed Kate Canning as its new Theatre Manager. One of many exciting new changes at the Theatre, Kate promises to bring her unique flair and wealth of experience to this already flourishing community gem.
Kate shares the dlr Mill Theatre’s commitment to serving the local community. She will work closely with Mill Productions, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, the arts world and the community to provide an exciting and diverse programme.
Kate brings an enviable range of experience to the table, as an actor, performer, director and facilitator. After graduating in 2007 with an M.A. in Drama and Theatre Studies from DCU, Kate ventured to further shores. She worked as an actor and facilitator for Dramatic Developments in Singapore where she gained insight into the international theatre scene. She then returned to Ireland where she trained as a soprano at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, graduating with a Higher Diploma in 2013 in Vocal Performance and Teaching. Kate then joined The National Theatre School where she was the Shakespeare School’s Co-ordinator. She also directed an acclaimed production of The Importance of Being Earnest at the Smock Alley Theatre. This range of experience is sure to bring a brand new energy and vibrancy to the dlr Mill Theatre.
